  • Device and network data: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, language, and approximate location derived from network data.
  • Security and usage data: sign-ins, session identifiers, pages and controls used, error reports, and activity relevant to fraud detection.
  • Referral data: referral codes, qualifying activity, and resulting reward records.

4. Why we use your information

We use personal information only where needed to:

  • register, authenticate, secure, and support your account;
  • accept and settle trades and maintain an accurate account history;
  • process deposits, withdrawals, balances, and referral rewards;
  • verify identity, payment ownership, eligibility, and source of funds;
  • detect fraud, abuse, account takeovers, prohibited conduct, and technical problems;
  • respond to questions, complaints, and privacy requests;
  • operate, measure, troubleshoot, and improve DerivLine; and
  • meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, reporting, and dispute obligations.

5. Grounds for processing

Depending on the law that applies, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as platform security and fraud prevention, protect vital interests, establish or defend legal claims, or act with your consent. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.

6. When information is shared

We share only what is reasonably necessary with:

  • payment and mobile-money providers involved in a deposit, withdrawal, refund, or payment investigation;
  • identity, fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, and account-security providers;
  • hosting, database, communications, analytics, and customer-support providers operating on our instructions;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, courts, regulators, and law-enforcement bodies where appropriate;
  • a buyer, investor, or successor involved in a genuine business reorganization, subject to confidentiality safeguards; and
  • another person when you direct or clearly authorize us to share information.

DerivLine does not sell personal information for money. We do not disclose your password.

7. Automated checks

DerivLine may use automated rules to identify unusual sign-ins, payments, duplicate accounts, promotion abuse, or prohibited trading patterns. A flagged activity may be delayed or referred for human review. Where the law gives you rights concerning a significant automated decision, you may request an explanation and human review by contacting us.

8. Cookies and local storage

DerivLine uses browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings and referral information, protect sessions, and understand whether the service is working correctly. Essential storage is required for account and security functions. You can remove stored information through your browser, but doing so may sign you out or reset features.

9. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Account and support information is generally retained while your account is open. Trading, payment, verification, fraud-prevention, and dispute records may be retained after closure for the period required by applicable financial, tax, anti-money-laundering, limitation, or recordkeeping laws. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it, unless preservation is required for an investigation or legal claim.

10. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, credential protection, activity logging, backups, and restricted administrative access designed to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure. Use a strong, unique password, secure your device and email account, and contact us immediately if you notice suspicious activity. DerivLine will handle a personal-data incident in accordance with applicable notification duties.

11. International processing

Our providers or personnel may process information outside your country. Where required, DerivLine uses lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual, organizational, or technical safeguards intended to preserve an appropriate level of protection.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and subject to lawful exceptions, you may ask DerivLine to:

  • confirm whether we hold your information and provide access to it;
  • correct incomplete or inaccurate information;
  • delete information or restrict or object to certain uses;
  • provide eligible information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent or opt out of non-essential marketing; or
  • review a qualifying automated decision.

We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information where law or valid legal claims require it. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible in your country.

13. Children

DerivLine is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children to open accounts. If you believe a child has provided information to DerivLine, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

14. Policy updates

We may update this Policy when our service, providers, or legal duties change. The revised date will appear at the top. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required. Using DerivLine after an update means the current Policy applies to subsequent processing.
